Our closed loop process
Knauf Drywall’s plasterboard recycling is an efficient and green closed loop process designed to ensure that nothing goes to waste. We start with gypsum from the most sustainable sources available and paper liners produced from recycled fibres. Gypsum and reclaimed gypsum are blended to produce high quality plasterboard in our energy efficient factories. Fuel efficient lorries transport products to merchants and distributors, for onward movement to building sites. The inevitable offcuts on sites are bagged or placed in skips and taken to our recycling stations where paper and gypsum are separated to complete the loop.
